The Trams...

I could get the bus from the New Farm shopping Centre into the city. And the trams, the trams were running everywhere. And every ten minutes or five minutes - they were very frequent. There were lovely. Fresh air everywhere. And you could see everything. I really enjoyed it. The wooden seats weren't  that comfortable but that wasn't what they were made for, it was made for people to get from A to B, which was really good.

The People of New Farm...

You have to have an open mind. If you live in New Farm you have got to have an open mind. We have such a lot of different types of people now, you can’t criticise them in any way shape or form. They have their lives to live as we had our lives to live.

The Food...

First the Italians came, which was good. Then we started getting more cosmopolitan which made the food very different. We are getting all types of different food which is good. Once it was just the old English food. It was all the same type of food, but now we are tasting food we never heard about and I enjoy it. I don’t know about everyone else, but if you want a night out you go Chinese if you want Chinese, if you want Mexican you go Mexican. Its cosmopolitan food and we are getting into that type of cooking. I am getting into that type of cooking now. I thought I never ever would do!

New Farm Park...

Now the park is a different place altogether. Everyone does mix, young and old mix together because there’s a bit of everything for everybody, whereas in the Valley it’s more for the younger people.
