Listening Post


The Listening Post is situated along the front fence of the Centre. Everyone in the community is welcome to write a story or poem about themselves, or about living in our diverse community in New Farm or the Valley. We will think about how to share these stories for all to enjoy! So get your creative skills going as we will enjoy hearing from you. Ongoing Activities


The Women's Craft Group


Meets at New Farm Neighbourhood Centre every Thursday from 10am to 12 noon. Bring along the craft that you do at home or come and learn new stuff! Love to knit? Got some hidden needle point skills? Decoupage? Cushions? Dolls? What ever takes your fancy. Drop in to give us a call @ the Centre on 3358 5600 if you would like to come along and get crafty in the company of other women in the Community Room.

Women Friendly Thursdays @ NFNC


Both Men and Women welcome but reception will be staffed by women volunteers, FREE (broadband) computers in the Community Office (9am to 2pm)  will be reserved for use of women only.  Please just come in or telephone the Centre on 3358 5600 for more information.Top


The New Farm Play Group


The groups are registered with the Playgroups Association of Queensland and all families are required to become a member of the Association upon joining. All enquiries can be directed to the Centre on 3358 5600.  The Play Group meets as follows (except Public Holidays):

  • Monday 10am to 11.30am

  • Wednesday 10am to 11.30am

  • Cost is $2 per week
