TAAS
is based at New Farm Neighbourhood Centre. The service provides
free advice, advocacy and housing referral services to tenants. The TAAS
workers can assist people with bond loan information, applying for
public and community housing, conciliation and Small Claims Tribunal
matters. You can use the phone, daily papers and the internet to assist
in your accommodation searches.
TAAS has funding to provide residents of boarding houses, hostels and
private aged care accommodation with a specialised service. The
project worker provides advice, advocacy, community education and housing
referral service to residents. The Residential Services Project is
also involved in helping people if a boarding house closes.

General Information This service is a tenant only service funded through interest earned on tenants' bond monies held with the Residential Tenancies Authority with some additional funding from the Department of Housing. Funding is administered by the Department of Housing.
